The business I chose was Made to Love. This is a small business that was founded by three friends in 2010 while on a mission trip to Haiti that is located in Hamilton Ohio. I would consider Made to Love to be a socially responsible business because it gives the communities in Haiti a chance to become sustainable and self sufficient. Made to Love is a nonprofit business that partner’s with individuals in Haiti to ship their handcrafted goods to them to sell in their business. I believe this business conducts their business in a socially responsible way is that all money made is used to help the children have the opportunity to go to school. This helps build them up and guide them out of poverty and into generational growth. This business has never been involved in any incidents for conducting business in an ethical or socially manner. The reason I say this is that all the founders have the same Christian values were they put others needs first. I feel the business is green for both profit and the environment. The reason for this is the more profit they make the more children they can send to school provides generational growth in the communities. They are also helping the environment because their partners in Haiti use a lot of recyclable items to handcraft items such as shoes, jewelry and handbags. I think this small business provides a huge opportunity to people that were never given an opportunity.
